Ingredients
- 5-6 avocados (ripe)
- Pinenuts ( handful)
- Sour cream
- Chill powder
- Garlic powder
- Cilantro
- Micro greens
- Pesto
- Lemon
Steps
Instructions:
- Ensure the avocados are slightly soft and firm to get the best results. Do not want over-ripe ones. Cut the avocado in half and scoop the avocado flesh into a mixing bowl. Depending on the number of people you are serving, I used 5 avocados for this recipe.

- Mash with a fork or masher until mostly smooth but still a little chunky.
- Add garlic powder (or fresh garlic), 2 tbsp lemon juice, chopped cilantro, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly and taste.
- Adjust seasoning: add more lemon (for acidity) or garlic powder if desired. If you like it richer, fold in some sour cream and mix until well blended.

- Add optional ingredients now (onion, jalapeño, cumin) if using.
- I used pine nuts for this recipe; you can use any nut of your preference. I toast them for a few minutes. This gives them a nutty taste.
Assembly for Serving:
- Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Use a spoon to flatten and smooth the surface of the dip for a “canvas.”
- Dust the top lightly with chili powder or paprika.
- With a small spoon, dot red pesto randomly across the surface.
- Add small dollops of sour cream. Swirl gently with a toothpick for a decorative pattern, if desired.
- Scatter toasted chopped nuts over the dip for crunch.
- Crumble feta or goat cheese on top.
- Finish with microgreens and extra cilantro.

Serving Suggestions:
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips, crackers, raw veggies, or alongside toasted bread.
- For best presentation, assemble toppings just before serving to maintain color and texture.
The layered ingrediants emphasizes texture contrasts (nuts, cheese, microgreens), visual appeal, and a balanced tangy-creamy flavor profile. Fresh herbs and lemon juice help prevent browning, and the topping method invites creativity with colors and shapes inspired by modern mezze and chef-style dips.
